NOT ABOUT HEROES is a play written by Stephen MacDonald about the friendship of Siegfried Sassoon and Wilfred Owen.
The show will be directed by Jane Fellows
This moving play is about the poetic life and inter relationship between two of the finest World War I poets: Owen who died and Sassoon who didn’t. Told by means of letters and poetry, this play paints a vivid picture of the war personally and nationally.
This is a play of celebrating language and character.

Performances: November 2nd to November 18th in the Black Box theater at Rex Putnam High School
For an audition slot, please email info@newcenturyplayers.org with your preferred 30 minute time slot and what character you're interested in. We will send more information and pages from the script for you to prepare a week before the audition once you have signed up for a time.
The rehearsal schedule will be set by coordinating between the director and the cast. All efforts will be made to work around each person and their demanding schedules. The director, Jane Fellows, has travel planned for September 22-October 10 and for October 14-19. Work on the script will begin this summer with plenty of time to learn this challenging and illuminating script. Blocking rehearsals will be late August and September
