God of Carnage

By: Yazmina Reza
Translated by Christopher Hampton
Winner of three 2009 Tony Awards, including Best New Play.

A playground altercation between eleven-year-old boys brings together two set of parents for a meeting to resolve the matter. At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses, and the rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the couples with more than just their liberal principles in tatters.

This comedy “definitely delivers the cathartic release of watching other people’s marriages go boom.” - The New York Times

For mature audiences.

THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE

Music and Lyrics by William Finn
Book by Rachel Sheinkin
Conceived by Rebecca Feldman
Additional material by Jay Reiss

Winner of 2005 Tony Award Best Book for a Musical, with five other nominations.
Six adolescent outsiders in the throes of puberty, overseen by grown-ups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves, learn that winning isn’t everything and that losing doesn’t make you a loser. The show’s Tony Award winning creative team has created the unlikeliest of hit musicals about the unlikeliest of heroes: a quirky yet charming cast of outsiders for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the same time.

“SPELLING BEE is that rarity of rarities; a super-smart show that is also a boni-fide crowd-pleaser.” - The Wall Street Journal

THE CURIOUS SAVAGE

By John Patrick (Tony and Pulitzer Prize winning author of Teahouse of the August Moon)
In this delightful comedy, Mrs. Savage has been left ten million dollars by her husband and wants to make the best use of it, in spite of the efforts of her grown-up stepchildren to get their hands on it. These self-seeking stepchildren commit her to a sanatorium hoping to “bring her to her senses”. Aided and abetted by the wonderful characters who also reside in this genteel, not-quite asylum, Mrs. Savage leads them on a merry chase, reminding all that the neglected virtues of kindness and affection have not been entirely lost.

“Life may or may not be like a box of chocolates, but The Curious Savage is like divinity fudge:
 old-fashioned…and accented with nuts” - Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
