He has most recently been a competitive ballroom dancer, and before that performed for many years with a Comedy/Singing group called Desperate Measures. Danny would like to thank his family for their support in his return to the stage. |
Allison Andresen (Greta)
Allison Andresen has been a singer actress and model in both the Ashland, and the Portland-metro area since the age of five. This is her third production with New Century Players, the first two being Sophie in Entanglement and Maggie in Lend Me a Tenor. She will be starting her transfer degree in theatre arts and human rights in the fall and hopes to complete her education at Southern Oregon University. She is also VERY happy to be working with such a talented cast!!!! |
Kraig Williams (Mr. Mayhew)
Kraig is excited to be returning to a New Century Players stage. He has been involved with theater in the Portland area for 20+ years as an actor, director and producer. His previous roles with New Century Players include Max in Lend Me a Tenor and Manolo Costazuela in The Odd Couple: Female Version. Some of his favorite roles in the past have been Reverend Hale in The Crucible, Hysterium in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (both with Beaverton Civic Theatre), Lloyd Dallas in Noises Off (Nutz-n-Boltz) and The Cat in the Hat in Seussical the Musical (Canby Theatre). Kraig will next be directing Suite Surrender (Sandy Actors Theatre), Children of Eden (Canby Theatre) and 12 Angry Jurors (Beaverton Civic Theatre) throughout 2015 and hopes to someday be directing a show at New Century Players. Kraig has also recently been selected as a board member for the Oregon Community Theatre Alliance. He'd like to thank Ron for yet another chance to work with him and this cast and of course his kids for their unwavering love and support. "Through all life's ups and down, my kids have been the ones I can always count on to stay by my side." |
Aaron Filyaw (Leonard Vole)
Aaron is thrilled to be returning to NCP after just appearing as Chris Keller in All My Sons this season. He has worked with many different companies throughout the Portland area. Some of his favorite roles include Various Characters in The Laramie Project (Serendipity Players), Orlando in As You Like It (Theatre in the Grove) and Jack Worthing in The Importance of Being Earnest (Magenta Theatre). He has studied in NYC at the Stella Adler Conservatory where he appeared in stage readings of The Shape of Things and Out of Gas on Lover’s Leap. He has also studied and acted with The Tennessee Stage Company and Tennessee Valley Players, where he played Rusty Charley in Guys and Dolls. He wants to thank Ron for this fantastic opportunity as well as the very talented group of actors and crew members he’s had the pleasure of working with. Also, extra thanks to Kevin and Faye for helping with the tricky Cockney accent! Enjoy the show! |
Greg Prosser (Sir Wilfrid Robarts, Q.C.)
Greg is pleased to be back on stage with New Century Players, having previously appeared in 12 Angry Men and Women, The Curious Savage and Footloose, the musical. A long-time resident of Portland, Greg was not able to pursue the stage as hoped earlier in life. Though the passion burned within, he was only more recently able to get involved in local theatre and has loved every minute of it. Some favorite roles have been appearing as Salieri in Amadeus, as Reverend Moore in Footloose and as the Narrator/Mysterious Man in Into the Woods. Some of his other work includes roles in Bus Stop, Harvey, The Music Man, South Pacific, The Crucible, Charlie’s Aunt, The Importance of Being Earnest and The Philadelphia Story. In addition to musical theatre, his love for singing finds another outlet as a member of the Oregon Repertory Singers choir. Greg would like to thank Ron for giving him the opportunity to take on the challenge of Sir Wilfrid and the many people who have helped and supported him through these many endeavors. |
Doug Jacobs (Inspector Hearne)
Doug has been privileged to have performed on stage with Lake City Playhouse in Coeur d’Alene, Corvallis Community Theatre in Corvallis, Linn Benton Community College and Albany Civic Theatre in Albany. He has also directed performances in Corvallis and Coeur d’Alene, along with designing and building sets. His most recent performance experience was with New Century Players as Tito Merelli in the 2014 production of Lend Me a Tenor and he is happy to be appearing with the company again in this performance. “Thanks for having me back. I’m looking forward to more in the future.” |
Kevin Singletary (Policeman/Detective)
My name is Kevin Singletary and this is my first show with New Century Players, and I am privileged to work with such fantastic individuals. I have started my first year in college, and this is the first show I've been in since starting the new year. I am majoring in theatre and I'm still thinking if I want to minor in English. Thank you for coming to see our production and we all hope you enjoy it. |
Faye Levinsohn (Romaine)
Faye is thrilled to be back onstage with NCP after an almost 9 year break since she played Audrey for the company's production of Little Shop of Horrors. Faye is a UK native and studied Performing Arts at Middlesex University in London before moving out to the West Coast. Past favorite theatre credits include Columbia in The Rocky Horror Show, Jane Gammon in Wild Oats, Bet in Oliver! and Masha in Three Sisters. Faye is extremely grateful that her two sons Eli and Charlie are now old enough that she can finally get back on stage again! |
Patrick John (Mr. Justice Wainwright)
Pat appeared with NCP in 2004, in the Take Three one-act Emissary, and in It's A Wonderful Life. In 2005, he was in You Can't Take It With You and Angel Street. In 2008, Patrick and Ron Palmblad acted in Arsenic and Old Lace for the Nutz-n-Boltz Theater Company. In 2012, he was a judge in the NCP production of The Curious Savage. He also played a judge in his high school production of Harvey. |
Todd Carlson (Mr. Myers, Q.C.)
Todd appreciates this opportunity to work with New Century Players once again. You may have seen him recently in All My Sons or in other New Century Players productions: 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (2013) and Hairspray (2012). During the day he performs in the role "IT Manager" at a local software company. In his spare time he plays jazz (Upright bass) and is a ukulele evangelist. Todd is grateful for the support and guidance from his family and friends, and thankful to the cast and crew of Witness for making this such great show! |
Kevin Yell (Court Usher/Clerk of the Court)
Kevin Yell is a member of the NCP Board and has directed for the company several times (Picasso at the Lapin Agile, A Murder is Announced, Laramie Project, Stepping Out, God of Carnage.) He was in NCP's productions of Hairspray (Wilbur Turnblad) and Love Letters. Last season NCP produced his play Entanglement both in Milwaukie and at Portland's Fertile Ground Festival. |
Jo Strom Lane (Warder)
Jo is excited to be back with New Century Players after recently playing Sue Bayliss in All My Sons. She has directed nearly 50 shows for the last two decades in Arizona and Oregon. In her past, her favorite roles have been Vera Claythorne in And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie, her favorite author, book, and play, as well as The Mute in The Fantasticks. In Portland, when she taught, directed, and served as Artistic Director for Winterhaven School's 14th Ave. Players, she also played Sylvia Barrett in Up The Down Staircase in the teacher cast, and directed Agatha Christie's Witness for the Prosecution. While at Roosevelt High School's Opening Act Theatre Company, where she currently teaches and serves as Artistic Director, she's been known to jump into the dancing ensemble of shows, such as Hairspray. She is a huge Agatha Christie fan and is so excited to be a part of this show! Much love to her supporters, Troupe 7289, and Oregon Thespians who inspire her daily! |
Virginia Kincaid (Jury Foreman)
Having played the beloved Ethel P. Savage in New Century Players’ 2012 production of The Curious Savage shortly after moving to Oregon, Virginia is delighted to return as Jury Foreman in this captivating Agatha Christie twist-ery. Having performed in over 30 productions in 4 states, Virginia’s other favorite roles include the poisonous Patsy Price (Dearly Beloved); Vernadette Simms (The Dixie Swim Club); Ouiser Boudreaux (Steel Magnolias); Aunt March (Little Women and Little Women: The Musical); Martha McDermitt (The Octette Bridge Club); Miss Brill (Cheaper by the Dozen); Lottie Lacey (The Dark at the Top of the Stairs); Lilybelle Savage (The Curious Savage); Sister Clarissa (Over the Tavern); Stephanie Dickinson (Cactus Flower); Baroness Elsa Schraeder (Sound of Music); and the title roles in Hello, Dolly! and Auntie Mame. Though her lines were cut, she was also cast in a few movies filmed in the Midwest (you can see her left beige jacket sleeve and open mouth in the trailer for Colin Hanks’ 2011 crime comedy “Lucky”). Virginia enjoys retirement from a legal career, spending time with friends and family – which features 8 perfect grandchildren. |
Arleen Daugherty (Member of the Jury)
Arleen is delighted to be a part of this talented and fun group. Since 2008 she has had the privilege of participating in over a dozen shows with a variety of wonderful local theatres but New Century Players is home. Some of her recent roles include Emilia in Othello, Ana in The Clean House, Mrs. Paddy in The Curious Savage, Truvy in Steel Magnolias, Angel in Entanglement, and Vera in The Odd Couple (The Female Version). Many thanks go to her ever-supportive family and friends for their encouragement of her theatre passion! |
Glenn Russell (Dr. Wyatt)
California Suite in 2006 was my only previous performance at New Century Players. During one show I accidently swept bar tools, ice bucket, and glasses off a sideboard onto the floor. A second of shocked silence, then the loudest audience reaction of my 20-year acting career. I had to sweep the broken glass aside with a pillow while my lady of the night was passed out on the bed, and my wife was pounding on the door, shouting to be let in. All this in my underwear. Dr. Wyatt won't have any comic moments. My first stage role was in the second grade; I was the back end of a horse. The front of the horse was Ivan Palmblad, an uncle of our director. |
Elisabeth Goebel (Janet MacKenzie)
Elisabeth has enjoyed time onstage as a bag lady, a pinch-penny, a pixilated pianist, a tipsy Oscar Nominee, a retired exotic dancer, Picasso's barmaid, and a woman with a large rabbit problem. Offstage, Elisabeth finds satisfaction as Managing Director with New Century Players Community Theatre in Milwaukie. |
Redmond Reams (Mr. Clegg)
Redmond Reams is pleased to make his debut with New Century Players in this production. He has previously appeared as Uncle Henrik in Number the Stars and as Lieutenant Rooney in Arsenic and Old Lace with the North End Players and as Howie in Rabbit Hole with the Twilight Theatre. He is also a playwright; having had two plays produced as part of the 2014 and 2015 Fertile Ground arts festivals: Shadows and Threshold. He would like to thank his wife for her patience with his many absences. Thanks also go to Ron and Brandee and the cast for making this such an enjoyable experience. |
Brandee EP Liebrand (The Other Woman)
Brandee is delighted to be part of such a wonderfully talented cast! An Oregon native, Brandee graduated from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy NYC and holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from New School University. She returned to Oregon in 2009 and has been involved in many local productions since. Recent credits include Noises Off! (Vicki/Brooke, Nutz & Boltz), The Signal Season of Dummy Hoy (AC, Pentacle Theatre), Into the Woods (Little Red Riding Hood, Gallery Theatre), 'Tis Pity... (Philotis, Compass Repertory), and Oliver! (Bet, Nutz & Boltz). Thank you to her parents and her husband, Paul, who always has the patience to help her learn lines. Enjoy the show! |
